"There is always something happening at Galeries Lafayette!”

The creation of department stores at the end of the 19th century goes hand in hand with the country’s economic growth and the democratisation of products that suggest elegance and beauty.
The success was tremendous back then, and still is today!

Organised for Bienvenue en France by the Galeries Lafayette, we were magnificently received in "L’appartement", a privileged space within this department store: a delectable gourmet champagne snack was served to us, followed by a dazzlingly fresh and dynamic fashion show.

Very young models twirled in front of us, first in casual clothes, shorts, sports shoes, then dressed in elegant shirt-trousers outfits made of silk for the end of the day, as well as some dresses.
A few male models were also on the catwalk in very trendy outfits.
All the clothes on view reflected the wide choice of well-known brands that are available to the Galeries Lafayette’s customers.

Just before leaving, a raffle took us by surprise ; a make-up session for some, a heritage visit for those other lucky ones!

During the summer season, a festive programme is proposed on the panoramic terrace where in 1919 a small plane had the audacity to land!
As the advert indicates, after all,“There is always something happening at Galeries Lafayette"!
